THE BOARD

This group of visionary spouses who joined forces to shape a brighter future as our governing body.
Fiscal Year 2024-2025
President
Amanda W.
Hi! Originally from western NC, I met my husband in 2006 at Appalachian State University. Not quite four years later we boarded this wild ride; and 15 years, 6 moves, and two kiddos (soon to be 14 and 2) later we’re still standing! Along the way we’ve been lucky enough to have amazing communities and mentors that have shaped us and our motto has become: do for someone else what you’d want someone to do for you. My passion is supporting military families and creating a culture that fosters resiliency through community connection. In my spare time I love to cook and bake, hike and camp, try to keep plants alive, and watch my boys explore the things they love! I can’t wait to meet you and create something amazing together!

As Mother Teresa so eloquently put it, "I alone cannot change the world, but I can cast a stone across the waters to create many ripples." I'm proud to hail from Tennessee, with roots in North Dakota and the Gulf Coast, which explains my fondness for colorful expressions. My husband and I have been on an incredible journey together for over sixteen years, and we're thrilled to be raising three bright, curious, and energetic kids. As I embark on my sixth board adventure I am excited to collaborate with an amazing group of individuals.

This is my first year serving as a board member in the PSCSC, and I’m so excited to begin serving the community in this role! I recently became a stay at home mom after 5 years in the Army and was looking for ways to get more involved in the Space Force community and meet other military families. PSCSC is the perfect fit! My husband and I love traveling and we are making it our mission to get ourselves and our two littles to all 50 states and as many different countries as we can. In my free time, I enjoy trail running, hiking, baking, and sewing. I just completed my first Beast (13 mile) Spartan race and am training for the Pikes Peak Ascent. I’m excited to be in the PSCSC and can’t wait to meet you all!

This is my second year serving in this role for the Spouses' Club and I am excited to watch the club grow and support our military community.

I’m honored to serve as the Media & Outreach position for the Spouses’ Club. Graphic design has been a lifelong passion and I’m thrilled to channel it into helping the club flourish. Supporting military families blends my love for creativity with my commitment to humanitarian service, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the opportunity.

I am an Air Force spouse of 12ish years and we have been stationed all around the world. We have two boys (4) and (8) and a 13 year old basset hound, life is never quiet at our house. I am an avid runner and reader, while also dabbling in crafting and baking. I enjoy traveling, eating food, and drinking an absurd amount of coffee. Helping others is a passion of mine, which is why I am so excited to be a part of the PSC Spouses' Club and to be serving as the scholarship chair for this year.

I have been with my husband for 16 years and we have one beautiful, smart, sassy, sometimes irritating but amazingly wonderful teenage daughter. I am a Colorado Springs native and am truly excited to finish our military life in my hometown. As an alumna of Whittier College (Fear the Poet!), I truly believe that the pen is mightier than the sword and am currently writing my first book series. This is my second time on a board and I can’t wait to work with the members of our military and civilian community to expand our charitable efforts.
Event Coordinator
Maria H.
Hi! I’m Maria, and I’m honored to serve as this year’s Events Coordinator for the PSC Spouses’ Club. As a mom of two little ones, I understand how valuable it is to have both family-friendly activities and opportunities for personal connection and time away from our day-to-day routines.
Before moving to Colorado, I served as the Thrift Shop Manager and Vice President of the Ansbach Spouses and Civilians Club, where I helped organize a variety of events and trips that brought people together and strengthened our community.
My goal is to help the PSC Spouses’ Club grow and thrive—offering events that are welcoming, meaningful, and fun for everyone. I’m excited to work with our amazing board and volunteers this year, and I can’t wait to meet more of you at upcoming events!
